Can A Vegan Diet Help You Lose Weight?

Well lets look at a couple things real quick if you have been following my blog then you know
exercise and caloric intake can you help you greatly, with out drastically changing your lifestyle.
But for some of those you want to make a change to a vegan diet for personal reasons here are some
tips to send you in the right direction. Personally I have viewed the vegan diet very challenging due
to work and social activity's. With that being said it was difficult for me to stop everything I was eating to get on the this path.


I personally have been pretty active for years and just wasn't were i wanted to be at so one day i looked into a vegan diet based on plant proteins and carbs. What i found was that replacing low nutrient high caloric foods with more nutrient dense low calorie foods, was getting results. Now there is a lot of prepping to ready yourself to go into this lifestyle but it does have its benefits. With high fiber and nutrient rich foods you can eat till your full without the crazy calories you were getting before. Now the first thing to always remember those so called faux chicken nuggets have a lot of calories and sodium just like the real animal protein. Eating the "good" fats will help you drastically lose fat and help generate more muscle with less recovery time from your workouts.The healthy fat you consume can have a range of health benefits, including heart health. So what are these so called healthy fats well
the polyunsaturated fats such as omega-3's found in fish and nuts, and monounsaturated fats from
olive oil,fish oil,peanut butter,and also egg yolks. With that being said not all fats are bad for your

The human body is a remarkably adaptable and diverse machine. Even if years and years of forgetfulness have allowed pounds  of fat to fill out your skeleton, you can rid yourself of that fatty mass at a much faster rate than you brought it in. 

Take these quick and easy to implement tips and start burning fat away!

  • Don't Look At The Scale Daily

You can train the hardest you have ever trained and lose 6 pounds of fat but your actually
creating 6 pounds of muscle, and what does that scale happen to say "your the same weight".
Frustrating as that is looking at the weight scale just think of it as a guide. 

Go by how you look in the mirrors and how your clothing fits, in turn showing the progress you have made in this journey.

  • Reduce Caloric Intake Gradually

Reducing huge amounts of calories in your diet will kick your body into auto starvation mode
in turn makes your metabolism rate slow down making it difficult to burn fat away stay away from that. To prevent your metabolism rate slowing down make smaller caloric reductions every other week.

Also varying the amount of calories you take can trick your body into losing weight but not your lowering your metabolic rate.

  • Use Weight Training


Training with weights helps with fat loss in multiple ways. Just training burns calories, but compared to aerobic exercise, weight training burns more calories during rest up to more than 30 hours after your workout. Also with more muscle your body has the more calories it burns to use them muscles. If your goal is to lose body fat you need to train with weights to help prevent the weight loss being muscle. If by chance that happens your metabolism could slow down, in turn would stall out your fat loss journey. 

Also side note someone who is skinny can have a high body fat percentage.
